I have had a lovely day today! I got a great Balinese Massage from Lynn Turkington of Devata and I am still feeling the effects 6 hours later!! Lynn describes it like this:
A Balinese massage begins with a ritual foot bath. The massage begins with the client under a sarong where Acupressure techniques are used to sooth the mind and stretch the body. Next the full body massage begins using aromatic oils and a wide range of massage techniques including traditional Balinese massage techniques, originally only used by Balians (Balinese healers), Javanese massage (more relaxing techniques which came from the Royal Palaces in Java), Acupressure and regular Swedish massage techniques. Drawing from so many different cultures really makes this a worldly experience and you will float into a state of pure bliss.
I actually floated into a class of pre-teens as I was teaching them Pilates but I managed to transcend the choas and floated home to a fabulous dinner courtesy of Chris and I’m just about to do a restorative yoga routine with Neesha Zollinger of Yoga Today. Sometimes, it’s just great to be me!
