So this Sunday is the first day of December and I cannot believe how quickly this year has gone by. I have been through such a journey this year as a self-employed person and am looking forward to my new career move into training (with the StretchBodyMind Yoga Teacher Training) in 2014.
However, right at this moment, I am EXHAUSTED! All this making goals and achieving goals and surpassing goals is tiring! So, until a couple of days ago, I was dreading December.
However, I’ve made a few self-care decisions that make the festive season more festive for me again:
- I am meditating every morning again. Just 5 minutes (with no pressure – sometimes it’s less, sometimes it’s more) and the head space it is giving me is palpable. I cannot believe how good it feels to take some time in quiet contemplation before firing up the laptop and getting all reactive. In fact, it is making me far less reactive than before.
- I currently have my massage bed out permanently so that I can massage unsuspecting visitors and get my practice in. We have just completed the full body and face for our Aromatherapy Massage and I cannot believe how much I am enjoying this!
- I have signed up to my friend Kimberly’s 30 day energizer which is FREE and starts on 5th Dec. Every day for 30 days, you’ll receive a quick & powerful tip, tool, or technique to help you jump-start your day and do the things that matter most. Join me and put the fun back into your workday and put your energy behind your BIG dreams for 2014.
- For only the second time in my life I will NOT be spending Christmas with Gwen & Andy. I know I’m only in Scotland and not Australia this time but Mum and I have had a big chat about this and she and my Dad are coming to visit me instead! They will also be visiting my Sister in Jersey so will have Christmas dinner with both of us before heading home on the day before Christmas Eve. So, Chris and I might have beans on toast on the big day! No pressure, no polite conversations, no-one to please other than ourselves. I love it!
What about you? What are your plans for December?? I can’t wait to read your comments/ideas/suggestions.
