Okay, so I didn’t actually howl at the moon…
However, Friday night saw the Harvest Moon and I attended a special gathering of women in Glasgow. Our evening together helped us clear out the mental, emotional, psychological and spiritual clutter that was holding us back. It was facilitated by the fabulous Clare of She of the Wilds and was attended by some of my dearest friends, as well as some lovely new ones.
The focus was on our own personal sense of “Home” and, since then, I can’t stop thinking about how at home I feel here in Biggar. I know I’ve blogged about it before but it bears repeated telling – I really love it here! One example of how at home I feel is when I started a new Yoga-lattes class last Thursday night and was thrilled to welcome SIXTEEN new clients who I hope to become good friends with as the weeks go by. Another example is having Mum and Dad here last week and acting like a Tour Guide showing them all the sights of the area (and enjoying a few pub lunches!)
I feel grounded, connected and, most importantly, ready for this new Autumn season. I am looking forward to hosting Max Strom next month and I am currently engrossed in creating new CPDs for my Yoga Teacher Training graduates for 2017 and beyond.
And now I want to know:
- What is keeping you separate from your sense of home?
- What are you holding on to that is causing you pain or discomfort?
- What can you bring to light right now and lovingly release?
- When you’ve released what’s been holding you back, what do you plan to do??
Rather than wait until the next Full Moon to answer these questions, why not create your own mini ceremony?
Find a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed and light a candle to illuminate your thoughts. Use a favourite journal or a simple scrap of paper to answer the questions above then notice if there are repeating words or phrases. If so, write these down and release them by burning them in the flame (can be dodgy), in a fire (safer) or just ripping them up and scattering them outside (safest of all). And if you wish you can share your answers with me via email or on the Facebook Group.
