You can’t fail to have noticed the huge numbers of peeps displaying their make-up-less selfies on social media this past week. While I understand and applaud the sentiment (raising awareness of breast cancer) as well as support the cause (I texted my £3 pledge) I just couldn’t bring myself to show my face.

You see, I haven’t shown a picture of myself since January and there’s a couple of reasons for this.

Firstly, I took the headstaggers in February and got my bottle-blonde hair chopped off and dyed red and … I HATE it! I feel like Samson – devoid of all my powers! Don’t get me wrong. My bottle-blonde hair was really in need of a break. It had been bleached to death and was looking more like wool than like hair. But I loved being a blonde. I FEEL like a blonde and, as yet, I don’t feel like a redhead.

Secondly, and this one’s a bit more serious, I had a recurrence of my rotator cuff injury in February and as a result I have been avoiding my daily yoga or Pilates practice AND I’ve been “treating” myself with chocolate and sweets. Unfortunately, instead of repairing my shoulder, I am sorer than ever and also bigger than ever because of the overeating and lack of exercise!

So, I just don’t want to be seen right now.

However, if you are desperate to see me, why not check out my latest release: The New You Plan’s “Stretch for a New You” DVD which I created in Belfast back in December 2012 just before I moved to Glasgow. If you’ve been missing my teaching then this DVD could be just what you’re looking for. I am so proud of my first professionally produced DVD and would love to know what you think. Check out THIS LINK and don’t forget to say I sent you when you buy it!

Hugs,
Victoria
